BREMEN - Roy Markwell, Jr., 69, of Bremen, died Monday, February 20, 2012 at 2:00AM at his home. Mr. Markwell was born February 22, 1942 in Muhlenberg County, KY. He was self-employed in logging and was of the General Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy B. Markwell in 1996 and Betty Markwell in 1997; and step-daughter Heather Hudson in 1999.

Survivors include his best friend, Connie Markwell; children Eddie Lile of Evansville, IN, Jeff Markwell of Livermore, Mike Markwell of Island, Mark Allen Markwell of Bremen, Christy Markwell of Island, and Denetta Johnson of Livermore; 18 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at 1:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. J.W. Haire officiating. Burial in Gish Cemetery in Bremen. Visitation will be Tuesday after 5:00PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
